Culture is dynamic

The second sentence in list number 10 says it well, "We have nearly 1,000 years of reading print in our bloodstream and that’s not likely to change in the next 75." Culture is dynamic, meaning that it is always changing. Before e-books and the internet we had and still have books and libraries. Before books and libraries we had and still have elders and campfires. We are human, the environment may change but the message stays the same. Culture will change that. We will adapt to what suits us best. Humans of a certain environment will use whatever method works best for their people. We will be using books in the United States for a very long time, for over 75 years. The last sentence in list number 10 eloquently notes, "But humankind, being what it is, will always want to curl up with a good book—not a laptop—at least for the foreseeable future." It's easier and safer for you and the laptop to read a book while bathing.
