DNA sequence as a computer is a brilliant idea. I don't know a whole lot about DNA sequence besides what I've learned in Biology, biological anthropology, and sociobiology. It can have it's positives and negatives. He stated that DNA is not a living thing, which is true, just like a virus is not a living thing because it lacks characteristics that defines life. DNA is considered a molecule that is used as a code for the cell. It can perform functions for the computer and I think it would be a great parallel to use in computers. Some of the negatives is that it can mutate and hackers could change the sequence code. It's a new discipline in science that i'm interested in--the biological aspect. Scientists could even use real DNA, who knows. I would like to study human variation, which deals with mutation, genetic drift, genetic flow, and of course the infamous natural selection.
