What is it?
Who does it?
Why?
How do you do it?
When is it used?
What for?
What will I do with it?
What can I do with it?
what could it be if large groups of young people were to perform it?
Technical writing is an elusive genre because it transcends the cognitive boundaries of what writing is believed to be.
The term “technical writing” sounds weird simply because of the use of the word technical. Writing is perceived by many people to be an organic and fluid process. Aha! This is where the first breakdown occurs. The assumption that writing derives from a purely creative, unearthly force--or standpoint-- is a farce. Much like any other profession or practical skill, effective writing is learned--and only accomplished through continuous practice, execution, diligence, functionality, editing and careful consideration.
The act of writing is similar to the harvest. Finding the right word is like picking the fruit off of an abundant tree.
What may look nice, tastes like shit and may read like a bureaucratic policy. The reader is left irritated, confused and no better off…Hungry.
